Platinum Moments – The Journey so far!
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away! Last evening over a cup of tea we were making plans for our next trip. The trip that was going to mark our two years of togetherness. Time flies and in our case it actually does. We have had our share of sweet-bitter moments during our journey and we have loved them all. Here are the Platinum Moments we shared through the journey so far.
Right from our first international trip together to Bali to exploring the beautiful landscapes of Ladakh, the wanderlust in us always kept our travel clock ticking.
The best part about our compatibility is the way we accepted each other. Although we had a lot of commonalities but we also were poles apart in some respects. I’m more laid back of the two, Saumya is quick and energetic when it comes to making travel plans.
I love taking the steering wheel whereas she always enjoyed the drive with good music. We had very different eating habits but the best part was to accept the differences sportingly and now we are on the same page, almost!
Two years of marriage have been full of love, support and care for each other along with the craziness and madness to live life to the fullest. But what is most fulfilling & truly a “Milestone” in our life is that we have been able to realize our shared dream – our love for travel and food and the passion to explore the world gave us our most prized possession called RoadtoTaste. We wanted to share our travel and food stories with the world and motivate people to travel like us. Little did we know that we would get so much love and support from our families, friends and followers that it became our duty to share our stories more responsibly.
Ever since the launch we tried to travel even at a drop of a hat and somehow manage our jobs too. RoadtoTaste gave us many platinum moments like exploring Singapore and Malaysia, places that have been on our bucket list. We also had our share of adventures through Paragliding and Hot Air Balloon ride. The glowing Ghats of Kashi during the Dev Deepawali and the road trip to Rajasthan are moments etched deep in our hearts.
Now, when we look back at our journey and try to pick out one moment that I would call truly platinum, our marriage tops the list, our day of love. This journey, the happiness, our passion couldn’t have been possible had we not come together as one! Love marriages in India are still a distant affair and when it comes to convincing your families it takes tremendous perseverance and conviction.
It seems like yesterday when we were exchanging garlands on a chilly winter evening and the Gods were blessing us from heaven in the form of rain. We were standing on the stage and were jubilant about the fact that we were finally getting married. Our perseverance and patience paid well and we started our new phase of life, together, forever!
Now, as we entering the second year of our togetherness, what better could it be to solemnize this event with the Platinum Bands! Just as these bands are a symbol of true love and solidarity, we wish our love to stand the test of times and be pure and rare always! Amen!
PS: The platinum bands displayed in the pictures are courtesy Orra Jewelers. Although these bands were provided for the shoot, the quality and craftsmanship of these bands make them a perfect gifting options for a couple.
Do share with us the platinum moments of your life!
