Things to do in Kasauli:
Kasauli is a very small town in Himachal Pradesh which doesn’t have too many things on the to-do list. We personally liked this hill station a lot because we didn’t have to cover too many spots here and it was more of an off-beat getaway from Delhi for us. Here’s a list of things to do in Kasauli:
1) Visit Mall Road:
Mall Road for any hill station is its jewel. Kasauli being a small town has an even cuter mall road which is divided into two parts, the upper mall road, and the lower mall road. Both these mall roads have shops for snacks, liquor, apparels, and souvenir. Strolling down the mall road and sipping a hot ginger tea with some tasty pakodas will definitely make you come here again.
2) Walk up to the Monkey Point:
The highest point in Kasauli, the monkey point also has a temple of Lord Hanuman. From this point, you are able to view the entire town, the greenery, and forest all around up till neighboring cities.
3) Visit the Mohan Meakins Brewery:
One of the oldest breweries in India, the Mohan Meakins Brewery is known for making some of the finest liquor in the world. This included the likes of Old Monk Rum, the Solan No.1 whiskey and the Solan No.1 Single Malt amongst others. Made from the Himachali Spring Water, the Solan No.1 is one of the finest liquor you will taste.
4) Stay at the Forest Hill Resort:
Forest Hill Resort is the best luxury property by FortuneSelect, ITC in the Kasauli region. The best part about this property is that it is situated in the forest and on a hilltop. The location of this property makes it a quaint place to stay. This place has all the amenities you could ask for in a luxury resort in Kasauli is worth experiencing once.

5) Visit the St. Christ Church:
The Christ Church is one of the most popular tourist spots in Kasauli. The church was built by the Britishers in the 19th century and is surrounded by pine and deodar trees all around. Although we couldn’t visit the church during the mass however the grandeur of the church looked enticing from the outside. The beautiful facade and the lawns on the outside made it a picture perfect place.

If you are a fitness enthusiast and don’t mind walking then Kasauli is just the place for you. The town is surrounded by forests and trails on all sides which prove to be exciting for those who appreciate natural beauty. You can trek to the Sunset point in the evening and watch the sun go down from there. The walk is easy, relaxing and most soothing when you look at the sunset.
Places to stay in Kasauli:
Kasauli has a lot of stay options. From homestays to budget hotels in Kasauli to even luxury resorts in Kasauli, there is one for everyone. A good homestay or a decent hotel can start from 800-1000INR per night and a luxury 5 star may go up to 8000INR. We stayed at the Fortune Select Forest Hill Resort by ITC which is a luxury property. The property is located at a distance of 14 km from the main town of Kasauli and is well surrounded by forests on all sides.
Located in the Mahiya Valley of Kasauli, the Forest Hill comes under the Solan district and is very close to Solan. A hotel is a perfect place for a getaway with your friends and family. The property is a foodie’s paradise as it has a high-end dining restaurant named Zodiac which serves multi-cuisine food. A sprawling bar called Neptune serves one of the best cocktails and mocktails to be enjoyed.
Forest Hill also caters to all your business and leisure needs as it has an in-house conference room and a multipurpose hall for events. The infinity pool at the property is one of the USPs of the property as you can enjoy a dip in the pool with some amazing views of the valley.
