Hotel Ariya, Thimphu – Property Review
Bhutan is a land of peacefulness. A country with natural beauty in abundance, the cities are cleaner, pollution free and well organized. During our recent road trip to Bhutan, we chose to stay at Hotel Ariya in Thimphu. We are thankful to RS Travels for arranging our trip through Bhutan and can’t thank you enough that they offered hotel Ariya in Thimphu for the stay. We had a 2 nights 3 days stay at the property and availed the amenities and services in complete luxury. Here’s share a detailed review of the same and we shall also let you know our likes and dislikes from our stay at the Hotel Ariya in Thimphu.
The hotel is located in the southern part of Thimphu city in the Olakha area. The hotel is close to the main market of the capital city and provides good connectivity to it. As it is located on a road closer to main road it is very advantageous. Where it does not have the direct noise from the main road, it is just a stone’s throw away from it. The area around the hotel has a lot of cafes, shops and eating joints if you wish to eat out.
The staff at Ariya was really pleasing. As soon as we reached, we found a person already waiting to welcome us at the gate, great start. Once we entered, the staff at the reception was very courteous and welcomed us well. Although we were late in the evening, the dinner was arranged for us making sure we have a comfortable stay. The check in to the room was as cool as the breeze outside. We got a free upgrade to the Suite Room which was delightful bonus. Once we checked in to the room after dinner, we were sure to have a pleasant stay here in the days to come.
RS Travels booked a Suite Room for the stay, which was huge. With a spacious and well lit room at our disposal, we felt elated. The room had a dining section, a lounge section with an LED and a lounger, a study section and a huge king size bed. The room appeared no less than a suite from any of the 5 star property. The no less spacious and perfectly clean was the washroom. A well organized washroom with all the toiletries to perfection, the bath tub was the main attraction of this bathroom. Overall a very spacious, clean, great ambience and very comfortable room.
The Hotel Ariya houses a restaurant on the ground floor next to the reception. The restaurant’s seating capacity was good for the guests staying at the hotel. There are all kinds of cuisines served in the restaurant including Indian and Bhutanese food. We had all our breakfasts and dinners at Ariya and were very happy with the quality and taste of the food. The buffet spread for the breakfast in the morning was something to look forward to in the morning. The chicken main course dishes served in the dinner from the menu if definitely recommended. Overall a great food with awesome taste at a luxurious stay.
