Shivadya Resort and Spa in the Karjan Village, near Manali in Himachal Pradesh is one such place which leaves no stone unturned in elevating your happiness.

Located at a 20 mins drive from the main city of Manali, this handcrafted boutique property is surrounded by mountains, apple orchards and the village houses on all sides. This beautiful property is located at a convenient distance from the main Manali city which suits as it is both away from the hustle and close to the Mall Road if you wish to visit.

Luxury Personified:

Shivadya exudes luxury in all sense. It has 15 rooms, all named on the passes, mountain ranges and villages of Himachal. The rooms are beautifully done to suit your taste and are comfortable to the core. With high wooden ceilings to super comfortable beds, the view of the mountains from the rooms and the sundeck makes you fall in love with Shivadya instantly. The rooms are divided in three categories Luxury, Elite and Royal. We stayed at Dhauladhar, the Royal category room on the first floor. The room had mud walls and a high wooden ceiling representing the traditional Himachali houses. Although the room was traditional in structure, it had all the modern amenities inside. It was equipped with high tech heating devices to keep it cozy and had a mini bar, TV, study area, seating area accompanied by a balcony.

Anything that’s nice and clean grabs our attention immediately and Shivadya lives by the phrase Cleanliness is next to Godliness. Every corner of the property, including the washrooms, is so well maintained and clean that you cherish every second spent there.

Tala- The In-House Restaurant:

For the first time ever we walked into a restaurant with no menu. Tala Restaurant of Shivadya doesn’t have a preset menu and prepares the food based on the guest’s choice. That being the USP, you have a choice of having whatever you feel like in all your meals.

The chef of the restaurant makes sure that you completely enjoy all your food or tea sessions to the fullest. Try the Chef’s Special Methi Chicken when you are there and you will fall in love with chicken all over again. The local cuisine served is another specialty of Tala and is recommended. The restaurant was inspired by the traditional Kath Khuni houses of the Himachal and was built on the same structural lines.

Hospitality:

Service at Shivadya is top notch. You will experience the entire staff at Shivadya doing everything it takes to make sure you have the best holiday ever. With ever smiling faces and the ‘I shall do it’ attitude, every staff member at Shivadya loves what he/she is doing. As our room was on the first floor and it was cold, we were provided a bigger room heater and hot water bags when we were about to sleep to make sure we were comfortable.

Shivadya is a place full of activities, both in and around it. From playing indoor sports like table tennis, being involved in cooking sessions with the Chef or enjoying a relaxing massage at the Spa to mountain biking or a nature walk, you can easily plan your stay based on the interest. One can also indulge in adventure sports at the Solang Valley or visit the Rohtang Pass while staying here.
