IORA-The Retreat is located very close to the Central Zone of the Kaziranga National Park. This makes it very convenient for a morning or an evening walk to the park. The chirping of the birds and the chilly winds in the morning from the hills around the resort accentuate your experience.

IORA is a heaven for those seeking tranquility amongst nature. This place has been beautifully designed to provide the best of experience. IORA has 3 different types of stay options. While the luxury and supreme are two categories of rooms available, there are 4 types of suites. Each suite has been built according to the different eras. Right from our grandparent’s era to the modern day design, you will find one of each type. There is also a suite which is built as per the tribal house architecture of the natives of Assam. Each of them has its own specialty and are comfortable to the core.

Food:
Food at IORA will keep pulling you towards it during your stay and post it. The resort has 3 different restaurants serving different kinds of cuisines. Their multi-cuisine restaurant Scarlet Flame serves both the Ala-Carte and buffet dishes. The Bhatbaan, on the other hand, serves the authentic Assamese cuisine and their bamboo chicken is definitely not to be missed. Both the Iron Wood and the Pool Bar serve some exotic cocktails to be enjoyed during the stay. The Chilly Vodka served here is one drink to ask for as it is made from the Bhut Jolokia Chillies found in the neighborhood.

The vegetables, dairy products and all the other ingredients for a healthy living are all homegrown at the premises. The weaving center at Iora helps the locals in learning the art of weaving and natural dyeing. The shoppee at the reception of Iora sells all homemade silk products. They also organize an annual silk festival usually in December to provide a marketplace for all artisans to sell their craft.
