Alila Diwa Goa – Luxury concealed in the greens of South Goa
Goa is comfortably divided into two parts, the North and the South. This tropical land is covered by water on one side and the greenery on the other side gives it a much calmer outlook. While the north goa is considered to be more of a happening area with more of pubs, bars and land casinos being there, the south goa can be considered a staycation destination with resorts there offering almost everything in-house. During the last three days of our week-long trip to Goa, we stayed with Alila Diwa in South Goa. It is one of the most popular luxury resort in South Goa. Surrounded by the Gonsua beach on one side covered with paddy fields, this property is one of the best resorts in Goa. Location:
Alila Diwa Goa is located at a distance of less than 20kms and a 30 mins drive from the airport. This makes it a very convenient choice for people flying to Goa for a vacation. The Goa Railway Station Margao is also just 8kms from Alia Diwa making it a 20 mins drive only. The surrounding areas of Alila Diwa have cafes, restaurants and a beach along with greenery on all sides. The location of this luxury resort in Goa makes it a quaint and comfortable stay option.

Room:
Alila Diwa Goa has rooms in different categories which includes the Terrace, Loft, Alila Suite and Diwa Club Suite. While all the other categories of rooms are in the main building, the Diwa Club Suite is in the Diwa Club which is a resort within the Alila Diwa resort. We were staying in the Terrace variant of the room which was a spacious room with a king sized double bed, a luxurious attached washroom with bathtub and a balcony overlooking the restaurant and the pool. The room also had a mini-bar with beverages and refreshments to cater to your midnight cravings.

Food:
Alila Diwa has a variety of food to offer in the different in-house restaurants. The resort has three different restaurants and a fully fledged bar by the pool. Let’s talk about the restaurants first:
Vivo: A full day buffet restaurant, Vivo offers buffet breakfast to all its guests. During the day the ala-carte menu at the Vivo has some of the most delicious dishes listed. Don’t forget to try their Boti Kebabs which are just amazing.
Spice Studio: A specialty Goan and North Indian cuisine restaurant, Spice Studio has some of the most amazing Goan curry dishes. Another specialty of the Spice Studio is the Chef Edia Cotta, who has been with the brand for almost a decade now and is a specialist in various cuisines. The catch of the day at the restaurant is to look forward to whenever you are dining at the Spice Studio. Bisto is another ala-carte restaurant at the Diwa Club is right next to the pool for an amazing view. Although we missed having our lunch here as we were busy exploring the city we are sure the menu offers a great deal of taste to its guests.

Edge Bar: The Edge Bar is by the pool where you can sip a drink, take a dip in the pool and relax to the fullest. The infinity pool at the Alila Diwa makes it an awesome experience of enjoying the different cocktails from the edge bar.
In-House Activities:
Alila Diwa has a number of in-house activities that you can indulge in. From the Alila Spa to the Mini-Theater, the recreation center to the fitness center, Alila takes care of all your vacation needs. The Alila Spa is an awesome relaxing experience as we enjoyed the Balinese massage there. The mini theater plays two shows every day with the kid’s movie playing in the afternoon. The infinity pool at the resort overlooks the paddy rice fields and can be your place to relax with a book by the pool.

Alila Diwa Goa is one place where you can just go and chill without worrying about anything at all. If you want to experience the serene part of Goa with old Portuguese houses, cafes and churches, South Goa is just the place for you. Alila Diwa offers you a complete staycation experience with the best of food, hospitality and just the kind of vacation you need to unwind yourself. We had a nice experience staying with Alila Diwa Goa and we look forward to going back soon to this place.
