Gadgets, gadgets and more gadgets! It’s the new mantra for us these days as we have been constantly adding the latest gadgets in the market to our kitty. After using the DSLR for a long time it was time to either upgrade the DSLR by adding few lenses or getting a new camera altogether. We chose to move to a new camera, the GoPro Hero5,  because of the exciting features and the amazing quality it is offering. Launched in September last year, the GoPro Hero5 is considered to be one of the best action camera available in the market today. Here’s a quick guide to the GoPro Hero5 Black- Unboxing and Review.

Wide angle frame with 12MP camera ensures you get high quality pictures with all natural colors intact. The camera captures both JPEG and RAW images so that it can be easier to use with high end editing software. We recently used the GoPro Hero5 on our trip to Lucknow and were very happy with the results of the heritage photography. The images were sharp, clear and had the perfect balance when it came to capturing the natural beauty of that place.

A camera supporting 4K video recording should never fail to impress and that’s exactly what happens when you use the GoPro Hero5. The videos recorded on this camera were nothing less than a masterpiece when it comes to picture clarity. The different modes of shooting the video along with image stabilization makes it a perfect travel partner. Sadly, the image stabilization doesn’t work on 4K recordings and only supports a maximum of 1080p resolution. It shoots the videos at 30 frames per second which captures even the smallest details with minimum loss. Here’s a 1080p resolution video shot on the GoPro Hero5 with image stabilization.

The GoPro Hero5 comes with voice commands detection feature and can easily work in a hands free mode. The voice commands accepted on the GoPro Hero5 are highly accurate and we have not faced any issues till now related to accent. The camera is smart to understand all our needs and does the right thing at the right time by obeying our commands.

The camera has a 2 inches touchscreen which helps us access all the features and modes. The same features and apps can be accessed through the Capture App on our mobile phone. This app helps us to explore the different modes like the photo capture, video recording, time lapse etc. through our mobile phone. Thus, we can change the modes even while recording through this app without disrupting the flow.

The GoPro Hero5 comes with a bunch of accessories which helps to utilize this amazing device to it’s maximum potential. Right from the normal mounts to the selfie stick, the carrying case, the headgear, the shoulder gear and the backpack, all these make it the most powerful photographic gadget in the recent past.
