The Patiala Kkitchen – A Punjabi twist to Noida!
Noida is full of eating joints especially around sector 18. From malls to street food to fine dine restaurants , you name it and you will find it in that area. The Patiala Kkitchen promises to live up to its name of the city it’s name after with authentic North Indian, real Punjabi food. We went there with a group of friends for a lunch on a Saturday afternoon and here’s what we experienced.

More about PATIYALA!
Ambience – Look Vook!
The place is totally Punjabi! Right from the interiors of the restaurant to the cutlery to the furniture, everything is just Punjabi. The Patiala Kkitchen is spread over two floors with the seating area for a larger group on the first floor. The walls are full of quotes in Punjabi.
Food ka Chatkara!
We had the following during the lunch:
Starters:
Kutti Mirch Da Paneer Tikka: It truly was one of the best paneer tikka we had. Must try!

Punjabi Murg Bhatti: High on spices, this was really soft on the inside. It was really tasty and appreciated by all.

Kings Mutton Chaap: Mutton Chops roasted well for a tangy and spicy taste. Good.
Galauti Kebab Paratha: Chicken Galauti Kebabs served with Peta bread. The Kebabs were a bit dry, could have been better if they were a bit more juicier.

Murg Malai Tikka: Nice and tender chicken. Very well marinated. The taste was quite palatable.

Main Course:
Dal Makhni: This was the usual dal makhni served in the restaurant. Nothing great but it was good.

Bheja Fry: The fried brain of the lamb was cooked in a thick, slightly spicy gravy. This was good as it tasted really well.

Chicken Hai Tauba: Pepper chicken presented in a thick gravy. This dish was liked by most of the crowd as it wasn’t too spicy nor it was too sweet and had the perfect balance.

Rarhya Meat: It is the rara Mutton prepared in minced Mutton gravy. Rich aroma, nice flavor and tangy taste. Totally recommended!

Breads: The Butter Naan, Garlic Naan, Laccha Paratha and the Missi Roti served were all good and cooked well. The garlic naan had the proper flavor of garlic and the butter naan had no less butter.

Drinks: They do not serve alcohol. Something missing for a Punjabi restaurant but they try to make up for it with their soothing mocktails. We tried the Kesar Pista Lassi, Lemon, Long Island Ice Tea and Mandavi. All the drinks were highly appreciable as they had their distinctive tastes and were refreshing to the core.

Desserts:
Gulaab Jamun: Perfect sweetness and low on sugar. Good taste.
Luaki ka Halwa: Tried it for the first time but it was totally palatable.

Tilli Wali Kulfi: Kulfi with low sweetness. Amazing taste. Highly recommended.
