Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge – Review, Features and more!
It’s been a little more than two weeks that we have been using this latest and ultimate smartphone in the market, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. Although we have been quite impressed with the unboxing, looks and design, we are far more now after having used it for a while.
The phone was put to test in different weather and terrains especially during our recent trip to Varanasi. Needless to mention the low light photography especially of Subah-e-Benaras and Dev Deepawali and the on-air videos shot at the Taj Balloon Festival 2016.
Design, Look and Feel
The looks of this phone are crisp! With crystal clear 5 inches display and bright rounded edges, the phone feels too good to hold. The phone houses the volume control and power buttons on the sides, the aux jack on the top and the charging connector at the bottom. The phone has a smooth finish which looks premium with the quality of plastic used and is very handy especially during traveling.
Photos and Videos
Being a blogger it’s of utmost importance for us to have good pictures on our blog. It becomes a hassle to carry the DSLR, sometimes. This has now been taken care by the latest Galaxy S7 Edge. With 12MP rear camera and 5MP front, the pictures clicked are sharp, rich in colors and a boon for low light photography.
The HDR feature for clicking pictures gives significant details to the subject and the surroundings. The video shot in 4K are a treat to watch even on large screen. Here are a few sample pictures and videos shot on Galaxy S7 Edge.
Performance and Battery
We have been using this phone for heavy social media usage along with normal day to day use. With applications like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram taking the major portion of the day, rapid switching between camera, apps and phone worked like a charm.
The speakers are good and aren’t a turn down like the old galaxy series. The battery life of the phone didn’t let us down at all even during an entire day’s heavy use. The phone lasted for good 18 hours without needing a charge on continuous usage.
With the plethora of options available for smart phones in the market, the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge definitely stands apart. The price is definitely worth for the quality delivered. This phone is truly your best companion for food photography, traveling and road trips. Here is a link to a video captured and edited in Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.
