Dishoom – The Bollywood Style Hangout
Dishoom, sounds like a background effect of a Bollywood flick! We were surprised to know that there’s also a cafe by this name in Satyaniketan area of Delhi. This area is famous for the college crowd as it is close to the South Campus and has a menu designed keeping the college going youth in mind. The first look of the cafe from the outside gives a very rustic feeling as you see a bullet parked right outside the balcony! The feeling becomes strong as you step in the cafe and notice a completely earthly look given to it. With the bar being behind a brick wall, the wooden seating, a shutter with Dishoom painted on it in a very stylish manner and an all parts dismantled bike hanging on the wall, you realize the cafe has been designed especially for the Gen Next!
The Bullet Wall!
We started with Phantom Cottage Cheese, Chicken Satay, Chicken Chilly, Thin Crust Pizza, Butter Chicken Pasta and Bird Eye Mushroom. Each dish was special due to its unique presentation and amazing taste.

Although everything that was served to us was deliciously tasty, we especially liked the Butter Chicken Pasta as we had tried it for the first time and it had the perfect taste of Butter Chicken mixed with Pasta.
The Starters!
For drinks they served mocktails and shakes. We tried Green Apple, Lemon Ice Tea, Red Velvet Shake, Kit Kat Shake, Fresh Lime and Chocolate Shake. All the drinks were amazing as they had made sure that each drink should look and taste special. Green Apple was the best as it had the most appropriate flavor of Green Apple and was very refreshing. Must try!

For the main course we tried Butter chicken with Malabar Paratha and Fish ‘n’ Chips. Butter Chicken again was good and well cooked and the fish was melting in mouth. The fries served along with the fish was a good combination with tartar sauce.

The desserts served were visually attractive and yummy. We tried Magic in the Jar and Cookie Dough. Both these desserts were the best to satiate your hunger for sweet as they had everything one could ask for in a dessert. Highly recommended!
Tempting to the core!
Dishoom is one place in Satyaniketan which is worth the drive even if you are staying far away. The food, music, ambience and the experience that you will get there for the price at which it is offered is totally commendable!

What a surprise… I have been there to ‘yellow door’ next to dhisoom last week 🙂 thought of visiting dhisoom but decided to with YD. Next time I will surey try this.
